Here are 25 of the most amazing free resources and free tools for small business owners, entrepreneurs and solopreneurs that I use and love.

Canva

Canva is absolutely my favourite tool to use for creating beautiful and professional designs. You can use Canva to design social media images, banners, promotional images, flyers, book covers and a lot more. Canva continues to change and evolve and there are new incredible features that get rolled out regularly, like adding animations to your content, making a website straight from Canva, one-click function to remove the image background. You can get started for free and it covers a lot of the functions you would need.

Dropbox

Dropbox is an amazing tool to store all of your files in one place. You can easily access everything you need anywhere from your phone, computer or the internet. One function I love about Dropbox is the ability to access the files inside your folder straight from your desktop, instead of having to open a separate platform. This way, you can drag and drop anything you like. 

Google Drive

Google Drive is another amazing place for you to house all your files. With the ability to access through the device of your choice, you can easily sync up the folders and fields you have. If you use Google Suite, including Google Docs, Google Sheets and others, it’s easy for you to manage all of the different documents you have in one single place.

Asana

Asana is a great time management and project management tool, both for desktop and mobile to help teams organise, track, and manage their work. You can easily assign tasks for different members of your team, set reminders and deadlines, set up folders and categories, and a lot more. 

Trello

Similar to Asana, Trello is another great project management tool to help you organise and prioritise different tasks. You can add comments, attachments and due dates in one place. Trello also has an automation tool to help with trigger different tasks in the background so you don’t have to manually manage every  little function. 

MailerLite

A lot of small business owners, entrepreneurs and solopreneurs start with Mailchimp but I would highly recommend MailerLite. Mailchimp might also be free but a lot of my clients and other marketers find their emails get stuck in their audience’s spam box. MailerLite helps to create advanced email marketing campaigns with features like automation, landing pages and surveys. You can start for free with their free forever plan.

ConvertKit

ConvertKit is created to help “creators”, like vloggers, bloggers, influencers and other course creators. Their email automation can be created very easily, along with tagging and segmentation with your list.

You can use Convertkit to create forms that you can embed on your website and landing pages that can act as standalone pages. These landing pages are great especially for content creators who don’t have their own websites yet. They can easily start collecting email addresses through the landing pages using Convertkit.

One of the best things about Convertkit is, they have just realised a new plan, which is completely free. You can use the free plan for a list with up to 1,000 subscribers. You won’t be able to use some features but you can easily start building your list with the main features.

They also have a new ecommerce feature, where people can buy directly through the landing pages, without having to add-to-cart, checkout and all the fuss. It makes the process extremely easy for you and your customers.  

Elementor

Elementor is great for you to easily access and design each part of your website. The theme builder allows you to customise your website and create popups, integrate content from WordPress and offer over 80 design elements for you to choose from. Elementor has a free version and different paid versions. While the free version offers a lot of basic functions, getting one of the pro versions will give you more room to customise your website.

ManyChat

ManyChat is a Facebook Messenger chatbot that you can easily integrate on your website, allowing you to sell products, book appointments, nurture leads, capture contact info, and build relationships all through Facebook Messenger. Manychat has amazing support and free video course to help get you set up.

KWFinder

KWfinder allows you to find long tail keywords with low SEO difficulty so you can rank higher on search engines. With the free plan, you can create a few searches a day.

Ubersuggest

Ubersuggest is a great tool, created by Neil Patel. You can use it for free with a limited number of searches a day, which should be enough for a new business. Ubersuggest is great to help you find the right keywords you can target for, allowing you to get insight into the strategies that are working for others in your market so you can adopt them, improve them and gain an edge. 

Styled Stock Society

Feminine stock photography with beautiful styled stock images you can use for your projects. Styled Stock Society is my favourite feminine stock photography membership with beautiful styled stock images you can use for your projects. Not just photos, but they also offer bonuses like templates, workshops and a lot more.

WIth Styled Stock Society, you can grab yourself a free bundle of stock images on their website. 

IvoryMix

IvoryMix is a comprehensive membership of stock photos and marketing resources. Inside the membership, you can find all kinds of materials to help entrepreneurs to easily create content. Payhip allows you to sell and promote your ebooks, memberships, software, design assets, music or any type of digital products directly to your customers. You can start with the free forever plan that only takes a transaction fee. The Payhip WordPress plugin also allows you to embed all your products anywhere on your WordPress site simply using a short code. 

Grammarly

Grammarly is such an amazing tool to help you check your grammar, spelling as well as provide suggestions to help you improve your writings and content. Grammarly works with emails, messages, documents and a lot of different applications. It is a great tool to have to help you find out any errors you might have, without having to read through everything manually. 

AnswerThePublic

AnswerThePublic is a great research platform to help you find keywords and keyphrases and find out what other people are looking for. You can find autocomplete data from search engines like Google with useful phrases and questions people are asking around your keyword. With the research you can easily perform with AnswerThePublic, you can create relevant and optimised content to drive more traffic, downloads, views and shares.

Mighty Networks

Mighty networks is a powerful tool for your courses and membership. It is an all-in-one platform where you can bring your community, online courses, and memberships together in one place. It has a fantastic free plan that you can use to create personalised activity feeds for your members, create topics, articles and use functions such as direct messaging.
